Enamel on archival board, mounted on custom wood panel

My Work is very small and intimate and is almost always square.  It combines the reductive formalism of a minimalist aesthetic with the autobiographical subject matter.  Material, color and surface are used as signifiers to communicate a personal narrative. The Works in this New Series are inspired by observing the Colors of the End of Summer and the Beginning of Fall, Sunrise, and Sunsets in Chicago.

The artist is influenced by Donald Judd, Piet Mondrian, Barnett Newman, Mark Rothko
