These series for SpotteArt follow chromatic sensibility and values of masters like Robert Ryman with his white monochromatic compositions or Yves Klein and his blue monochromes. These paintings embody Zen-like qualities and contemplative perception that transforms a viewing experience into a meditative journey. Color frequencies emitted from a canvas invite the viewer to discover the world around through his own body. The surface and textures of my works are structured by mixing iridescent color pigments with a uniquely developed optical effect to create a floating line sensation. I obey my creative impulses. I believe in the inner workings of my intuition.

Bio

Daniel Herce (1957) an abstract colorist who lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Artist has spent several years working and exhibiting in Barcelona, Spain. He settled back in Buenos Aires in 2013. Daniel studied at National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredon. He attended painting workshops under artist Elsa Soibelman, drawing workshops under Armando Sapia and silk screen printing courses under master Gustavo Romano. His process is akin to alchemy and ancestral ways of creation, reducing visual artifacts to the infantile games, directing amorphous gestures to a tactile dimension. His other works link the artist to traditions of Picasso and Basquiat. His satiric family portraits draw parallels to cosmogonies captured by Franceso Clemente. His visceral passion for color is unequivocal, healing, a vital pulse, a poetic action.
