"Force the City" and "Pflastersteine Kreuzberg" (Rocks of Kreuzberg) are my latest series of drawings on paper and stones that draw on common patterns and objects found in the urban environment.

Through the juxtaposition of scale and color our attention is drawn to a possible world in which the familiar or overlooked place is broken down, re-drawn and re-imagined.

Kreuzberg, a district in West Berlin, is historically known for its political motivation and left winged inhabitants. In the recent past they were not scared of being radical and figthing the authorities, throwing rocks, squatting buildings, setting cars and garbage cans on fire.
